Kannin Turns SIX!!!

Some of the Word World characters...whose bodies are spelt out. Such a clever cartoon!

Kannin turned 6 on May 12th. It was a MUCH nicer day than the day he was born. On May 12, 2005...Kannin came into the world to several inches of WET SNOW. Fast forward 6 years...the sun was shining and his day was beautiful!

His birthday fell on a Thursday this year...so we put off having his party until the following weekend. We celebrated with family & friends on Saturday May 21st at our house. We had 53 people show up and had to stay in the garage & house for most of the party due to rain...but it was a GREAT party!!

Kannin wanted a "Word World" Birthday. "Word World" is a PBS cartoon that is his current obsession. It is a great outlet for his Hyperlexia. VERY EDUCATIONAL and entertaining. I tried to add as many "Word World" touches to the party as I could. It is a HARD theme to have as "Word World" stuff is difficult to find!

(REMINDER: Any of the below pictures can be blown up by clicking on them.)

These were the plates that we had. I made a replica "CAKE" (on plate) for Kannin, as seen below.

Everyone thought it was a fake cake. Better picture of cake a few pictures below.

Kannin got the whole cake to himself and everyone else had cookies that LOOKED like the CAKE.

Lots of FUN & YUMMY Candy on the tables.

Popcorn for EVERYONE!

Goody Boxes for all the kids to take home.

Candy & Balloons on ALL the tables.

Kaylee trying her first pack of "POP ROCKS." HILARIOUS!!

Time to EAT!!

Kaylee: Pretty in her Hello Kitty Party Dress!

Birthday Boy Kannin had 2 burgers!!

Matt grilling Burgers, Bratts & Hotdogs for our 53 guests!

"CAKE" & Cookies ready to be enjoyed!

I really wished Kannin had been looking at the camera because his giggle & smile was adoreable as everyone sang to him!

Blowing out the candles!

Kids were SO excited for the Ice Cream Truck...even though it was COLD!!

Cindy is our Summer Ice Cream Lady and graciously got her truck up and running just for the party!

Thanks "Gramm N Me" Ice Cream! See you as soon as it warms up!!

How sweet! Dave holding Gabby...Matt holding Lila...John holding Myah and Mom Mary Margaret relaxing holding a wine cooler!!

The rain ceased just enough for the kids to play in the backyard.

What Have I Gotten Myself Into?!?

So...last year I made my cousin Melissa's husband, Boyce, a Denver Bronco's Punch Tie Blanket for Christmas. It was a hit with everyone and was suggested by many this year as a "Great Idea For a Christmas Gift." I ended up making 7, YES SEVEN, Punch Tie Blankets. I put off starting this massive project until 2 weeks before Christmas. That was not wise...as each blanket takes 2 days to make and I had SEVEN! Needless to say...VERY SORE FINGERS for Christmas but VERY HAPPY RECIPIENTS!!

The Minnesota Vikings & Dallas Cowboys blankets, for my Grandparents, had to be made first because they needed to be shipped to Mesa, AZ in time for "The Pearman Christmas!"

MY FAVORITES!! Melissa's boys, Dillon & Kole, share my love of the Miami Dolphins! These were actually FUN to make!!

BARBIE! BARBIE!! BARBIE!!! My niece Haylee received a BARBIE Blanket. What little girl wouldn't LOVE this!?! I LOVE to spoil her with EVERYTHING Barbie!!

Niece Macy worships Tinkerbell. How cute is this one?

My Brother-In-Law Clint is a HUGE Vikings Fan so choosing his was EASY!!

My Pumpkin Decorating #1...more to come!!

I was asked by Pediactric Therapy to decorate some pumpkins for their "Pumpkin's For Kid's" fundraiser put on annually by them and the local Scottish Rite. I took 2 pumpkins home and thought FOREVER about what I would decorate them as! FINALLY...I got an idea...and it was WAY MORE WORK THAN I HAD EVER ANTICIPATED!! OMG!!!...but I was pretty pleased!!

Bubble Gum Dispenser! How else would you decorate a Pumpkin???

Everyone at Pediactric Therapy was excited to get this pumpkin! It was FUN to make...but TONS of work. I am STILL seeing DOTS!!!

I also did a spider with LEGS!! Ryder loved this so we will be making another one just like it for him!!

Pumpkin Patch Time!!

Matt & I took the little boys to the Pumpkin Patch this past Friday. SO MUCH FUN!! Tysen really missed out!! He had a friend spend the night...so they stayed home and played PlayStation!! "Typical Teenagers!!" We had so much fun and Tysen just doesn't know what he missed!!

Hayride with all my boys!! FUN FUN!!

Kannin LOVED the Tractor!!

Addie Turns 4!!

We were invited to a friend's 4th Birthday! Little Miss Addie celebrated her Birthday at the Kid's Klubhouse! We had never been there before and the boys had a BLAST!! I think most of the adults did too!!

I tell you...that slide looked scarey. Some of the kids would SHOOT off the bottom. Adults did go on it but I was a bit more reserved...which is so unlike me!!! Above: Kannin's hair stood strait up when he slid down!!

Addie's mom Tania schooled the kids with her savy scooter techniques!!
Mike, Addie's Dad, tried to show up Tania with HIS skills!!
Addie's little brother Gavin LOVED the scooter and like Tania said..."Gavin had no idea he was the littlest one there!" He did everything the big kids did!! SO CUTE!!!

This is really a FUN FUN place to take kids! We will definately bring the boys back!

Addie blows out the FOUR candles on her "Princess Cake"
This has to be my favorite picture! You can see the speed that these slides produce by Tania's hair standing on end!!

Brandon was a little nervous at first but after awhile...he was a PRO at the slides!!

Tania and her Posse of Little People!!

It is a long hike to the top!!

Evan was "King of the Mountain" and barked orders from the TOP!!!
Gavin's Grandpa was braver than me!!
The boys made a little obstace coarse!!
Ryder posing for the camera...of course!!!

Ryder in amonst all the girls for the gift opening. We got Addie a Rainbow Fairy dress up set complete with tutu, wings, wand, tights and MAKE-UP!!
