Pinatta & Cake...oops COOKIES!

We had a HUGE pinatta and the kids had a blast trying to knock it open.
Neighbor girl Grace taking her turn.

The kids swarmed, like moths to a flame, for the candy that they filled up their birthday hats with.

I opted to make cookies...in the shape of Ice Cream Cones...instead of cake this year. Above Kannin listening to everyone sing Happy Birthday!

Kannin was a bit busy picking his nose...so daddy had blew out the candles for him!

Our neighbor Dave admiring how Kannin managed to eat ALL of the frosting and NONE of the cookie!

In keepig with the Ice Cream Theme...we hired the "Happy Day Express" aka "The Ice Cream Lady"...to bring us all ice cream. It was so much fun and worked out PERFECTLY because she arrived right when we got done eating our cookies.

Dixie...the "Ice Cream Lady" had her music blaring while she came down the street.

The kids were SO EXCITED...they met her at our neighbor's house! We had to pry them off her truck so she could make it to our driveway.

We had 5 different ice creams to choose from, lotsa messy hands, tons of sticky fingers and lotsa happy faces. "Thanks Dixie for coming!"

After kids were cleaned up...we opened presents. It went so quickly I didn't even get pictures. Above is the AFTERMATH of the gift opening!

Birthday Boy Kannin...LOVES his new truck!

Bouncer Fun

We decided to buy Kannin a Bounce Castle for his birthday. It was a HIT! It really burned what little energy that all the kids had left. It was the last thing we did of the day.

Anxiously awaiting it to blow up.

THEY ALL PILED IN!!!

Then...due to weight limits...we decided...BOYS...then GIRLS!

One of the littlest Party Goer's...Aleena Williams...doesn't quite know what to think of the bouncer. Kannin (on the left) is always saying CHEESE to the camera.

Peyton & Cosette race down the slide. Analise is in the back bouncing away.

THE END!!!

The end of a LONG week and a GREAT party! Mama is EXHAUSTED!!!The William's Crew heads home...

...and so does the Wald crew.

Kannin loves to let balloons go and watch them float away! A perfect sign to the end of the party...and the LONG week. Kannin watching his balloons go Up...Up...Up!

Ryder ready to let his go too.

THE END!!!

Kannin's Birthday...He is 4!!!

My baby turned FOUR on Tuesday May 12th! I can hardly believe it! He LOVES Ice Cream so his theme this year is ICE CREAM. We made about 100 Ice Cream Cone shaped cookies for classmates, bus drivers, teachers and for his party this Saturday! Watch for Birthday Party Pics to come!...

Kannin eating his birthday cookie! Mmmm!!!

Our beautiful work of art! So Yummy!

After supper we let him open his gift. (Above)...he is checking it out. He had no idea what it was at first. I blew the thing up last night...and took out part of our ceiling fan! I tried again this morning...in a different location....YAY!!! The boys love it and we will keep it inside until the party this weekend!
All 3 boys shooting hoops in the bounce house!
This has become the best babysitter.
They have seriously played for 3 hours in it today!

Mother's Day 2009

We had a very nice Mother's Day today. I slept in and did NOTHING all morning. We went to Field of Dreams today. It is a Nursery that sells landscaping supplies and all kinds of bedding and potted plants and flowers. I picked out some bedding plants and will plant them next weekend I think. We then came home and I was going to start supper when Matt called my Father In Law to ask him a question and he invited us out for supper. I was definately game! That meant no dishes and clean-up. It was a great night out as Kannin was wonderful. We are limited of where and when we can go out but he stayed right by us all night and did not have to chase him once. A huge thing for a mother of an Autistic child.

Kannin got his own "Big Boy Pop" on the trip to Field of Dreams Nursery. He was pumped he didn't have to have a sippy cup.

Kannin riding the horse at Godfather's Pizza.

Ryder & Tysen...the only 30 seconds these 2 got along ALL DAY LONG!!!

Matt. Kannin & Grandpop Leon enjoying pizza.
Yes...that is Kannin's 2nd big pop of the day. I will probably be washing his sheets tomorrow!!!

Scrapbook Page

The above scrapbook page I made for Senator Kim Gillan. She was the sponsor of Senate Bill 234 "Brandon's Bill." This Bill officially became law on May 5th, 2009. It will require Insurance companies to cover the much needed therapies for Autistic children! Laura Simonson (Brandon's Mommy) is putting together a scrapbook for Kim with pages submitted by all of us parents who have worked on getting this bill passed. The book will be given to Kim next Thursday at our Celebratory Cocktail Party!
