The Schuyler's Depart...Sat. July 18th, 2009

At 1:00pm I walked down to see how Jason and Darla were coming along with packing their U-Hauls. They had hired some of the Skyview Football team to help...AND HELP THEY DID! I could not believe it! THEY WERE LOADED AND READY TO HEAD OUT! Ryder & I were there to say are good bye's as well as other neighbor's Dave, Beth and Brooke Kuebler. Tears flowed...because we are women...and that is what we do! It was so sad, especially to see the little kids hug each other good bye! We will TRUELY miss Jason, Darla, Tristan and Peyton...OHH...AND their Banzai Waterslide!! 1:30 pm...they headed to their new home in Missoula, MT.

Tristan gave Ryder his bike. Tristan got a new bigger bike and also already has a bike in Missoula at his Grandma's. It really has meant the world to Ryder. He just learned to ride a bike about 2 months ago but had a very little bike. This bike makes him feel like a big boy and he tells me daily how much he loves his "Big Boy Bike!"

"Farewell Schuyler's
We Will Miss You!"

The U-Hauls backed up loading.

Jason hugging his nephew goodbye!

Neighbor Dave and one of the Football players...securing the last load

Saying Our Good Bye's!

Jason hooking up the boat for the trip to Missoula.

Peyton leaving her mark on the garage floor!

Tristan said the CUTEST thing right before he got in the vehicle. He said..."Um Beki...When Tysen gets home could you tell him I said bye." It was so touching because his voice was a little shakey and he was pretty sad. For those of you who don't know...Tysen is my 12 1/2 year old who spends his summers in S.D. with his dad.

Ryder saying his good bye's to Tristan. These 2 fought more than they got along...but I know they will really miss each other. Darla & I just chalked it up to the fact that they were so much alike...and knew how to push each other's buttons!

Ryder's hugs for Peyton!

And They Are Gone!

Done Deal!

Ryder waving to Grandma Lorna (aka G G),
Peyton and Tristan as they lead the pack!

Waving to Darla in Truck #1...

...and Jason in Truck #2.

And then they were Gone!
We will miss you Schuyler's!

Just when I thought NOTHING was FREE anymore!

10:15 am Monday morning...on my way to pick Kannin up from school then off to therapy...I decided to risk getting stuck in the McDonald's Drive-Thru and order a Large Non-Fat McCafe Mocha - Hot! They are normally $2.95 and I HAD to have one! I ordered it and was frustrated that the car ahead of me had taken so long to order and now I was pressed for time. The speaker asked me..."Is that all for you today?"...I said yes...then the speaker said..."Today is Mocha Monday! Your Large Mocha is FREE!" Seriously...FREE? When is anything free anymore? Rock On McDonald's! Thanks for my Monday morning 20 oz FREE Mocha!!

Strange Weather Day!

Now that we are officially NOT on vacation anymore..."Back to LIFE! Back to REALITY!" Kannin had one therapy session Monday as well as school (which was pretty hard for him to get up for at 6:30am...since he has been sleeping in until 10am durring vacation). When we got home from therapy...they begged me to put up the pool. We had pretty clouds, then overcast skies, then SCAREY skies so the kids swam until the wind came up. Then we had a BIG storm last night. We have a VERY busy week ahead so hopefully the weather will be nice this week so ALL extra time (whatever little that is) can be spent outside in the pool!
The PRETTY clouds start to move in!

Dark Blue Skies...Big White Clouds

Beautiful!

Starting to get overcast...and strange looking!

The skies begin to look freeky!

Day in the Kiddy Pool

After the clouds "briefly" went away...Ryder and the neighbor kids took a dip in the FRESHLY filled pool. They were pretty brave because it was so stinkin' cold!
Ryder's look of SHOCK tells you just how cold it is!!

Showing off his dolphin. He is such a poser...just like daddy!

Little neighbor Michael...the bravest of them all. The cold didn't even phase him!

Grace dunked her head it..."Crazy Girl!"

Grace & Ryder sunbathe themselves on the warm concrete. I think we are in trouble with them in the years to come!!

Thomas The Train rolled into Billings!

On Sunday July 12th...Thomas The Train rolled into Billings. It was actually a 3 day event at the Billings Depot...but our day was Sunday. OUR ride, and when I say OUR, I mean Children of Autism, was Sunday at 5 pm. 100 tickets were "donated" for a ride on Thomas for Children & Families of Autism. It was an amazing thing to see all of the strong & brave families and even stronger children on that train. We are all in the same boat and it was such an amazing thing to feel the support that everyone had for each other.
Laura Simonson, being interviewed by Q2 News at the Thomas The Train Event. Laura is one of many Montana's Advocates for Autism. Montana was the 10th State to pass Legislation to ammend Health Insurance laws for children with Autism. We are one of only 14 states with this law! Our Bill became Brandon's Law on May 5th, 2009 named after Laura's son...Brandon Simonson. Now it is time push for Legislative action for a National Bill! Let's all fight to END Autism Insurance Descrimination NATIONALLY!

They had lots of fun events...Petting Zoo, Balloon Animals, Model Trains, Music, Coloring & Stamping, Games and Food. Above: Ryder gets his Thomas Tatoo.

Ryder is getting so so tall. He likes this picture because it looks like he is getting run over Emily.

Our P.L.A.Y. Coordinator Kelly was at the Thomas event. Kannin had not seen her in a month...but remembered her and jumped all over her. It was pretty cute.

Kannin staying cool with his second cup of pop...CAFFEINE FREE!!!
