Girly Cake for Tania!!

My friend Tania celebrated her 6th Anniversary of her 29th Birthday. I was out of town on the night they were planning a "Girl's Night Out" for her Birthday. I made her this cake and I think it turned out great. This is only the 2nd Fondant Cake I have made since college. I heard via the girls that it taketed GREAT!!
Pink & Girly!!
Complete with Rhinestones!!

Happy Birthday Tania!! Sorry I missed it!!

He FINALLY lost his first tooth!!

Ryder has been feeling REALLY left out for the past year!! All his friends and cousins Tristan & Sidney have lost teeth...but NOT RYDER!! FINALLY...he lost his first tooth on August 31, 2010.

Putting his tooth in his pillow

HE CAME MOM!! HE CAME!!!

I guess with inflation...teeth are worth $3!!

Early last week Ryder lost his second tooth. He is now missing his two front bottom teeth so his LISP is REALLY good now!! We had the following conversation...

Me: "Ryder. How much $ did you get for your first tooth?"

Ryder: "Three Dollars"

Me: "How much do you think you will get for this tooth?"

Ryder: "I think a couple dollars. Oh...my friend told me that if my teeth are really clean I will get more money. I am gonna go in the bathroom and wash it!"

OK...I think he is missing the point!

Oh Jeez!! NOT AGAIN!!

We were hit with hail AGAIN!! Not as devastating at the Father's Day storm...but I lost flowers and plants AGAIN!! Thank goodness we had not replaced our hot tub cover yet!!

Holy Crap!! The force that this water was moving...it would have washed one of my kids away!!

Flooding of the street!!

August Trip to South Dakota

The little boys and I made a trip back to SD in mid August to pick up Tysen for the School Year. Our "week-long" trip back included a trek to Bismarck to school shop, picking up Tysen, visiting all the Grandmas, picking corn at the Biegler Farm and a trip to Rapid City to paint for my Grandma. What a nice trip to make before school starts for the year.

These Wind Turbines just facinate me. I pass them everytime I head home. I actually got out and took some pictures on this trip and the sound they make and the speed that they move at are amazing!!

As soon as I hit South Dakota, EVERY AUGUST, I know I am HOME! The rolling & beautiful Sunflower Fields make me smile!!

I had to pull off the road, drive down a gravel road, open my sun-roof and stood on the drivers seat to get these pictures. These beautiful Sunflowers were taller than me!!

BEAUTIFUL!!

This is my FAVORITE picture!! It is my wallpaper on my computer and I LOVE waking up to this beautiful view EVERYDAY!!! Makes me feel like I am home!!!

Of course...it wouldn't be a trip back to SD without a little weather!! I ALWAYS seem to bring it with me! The evening of my arrival my mom, Grandma Marge & I headed downtown to "Ladies Night" at the Bar. We had a few drinks and then it started to RAIN...and RAIN HARD! The Bar lost power and someone mentioned (in the dark)..."Is Beki Lawien home? That would be the only explaination for the power outage!!" Well...this rain that I supposedly brought with me was enough to bring the farmers out of the fields and they all came to the bar!! ONLY in SD are the Farmers as bright yellow as the Sunflowers!! Tim Schweitzer & Jiggs Biegler showed up after the power came back on.

On Friday August 13th, Ryder, Kannin, & I headed to Bismarck with my parents. My mom had a Dr. Appointment and we tagged along to do some School shopping. We took the boys to Space Aliens for lunch. The food was fabulous and we hit the JACKPOT playing games in the arcade.

Ryder & Kannin taking another long car trip. We headed to Bismarck just a day after we arrived in Timber Lake. Thank goodness that they are such cood travelers!!

FINALLY!! We had told Ryder about Space Aliens a few weeks before our trip to Bismarck. He told EVERYONE he came in contact with that he was going to Space Aliens for WEEKS before our trip!!

While we were waiting for our food to come...we played games in the arcade. I dropped my first token in a dumptruck game and I guess the token hit the flag just right and dumped the Jackpot of tokens. I didn't know I had even won anything until I felt something on my foot. It was tickets pouring out!! It took 25minutes or more to dispense all the tickets I won! Our food arrived so we took turns collecting the tickets.

All in all...we won about 3500 tickets! The boys had fun picking their prizes at the end of our visit to Space Aliens!!

When we arrived back to TImber Lake from Bismarck...Grandma Marge & Grandpa Leo were there waiting!! Ryder was trying to immitate Grandpa Leo!!

Movie Night: We watched "BIG" , had popcorn and smoothies! (Tysen, Grandma Marge, Kannin, Ryder, Grandma Kris & Grandpa Roger)

We invited ourselves out to the Biegler farm to pick some corn on our way to Rapid City. My "City Boys" were a bit aprehensive...but loved it once they got their hands dirty!! Above: Ryder picking corn!!

Mmmm. Fresh Biegler Corn!!

Janal giving Kannin a "Husking Lesson!"

I can't believe that Tysen is taller than the corn!!

Thanks Jiggs & Janal for letting my boys come out and pick some fresh Biegler Corn! We had fun!! (Notice all my boys are sporting their Panther Pride with their shirts!!)

Bye Biegler Farm! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

Pool Time

We had a LATE start to the pool season this year. Matt's parents have this beautiful pool and we look forward to swimming in it every summer. With the Father's Day Tornado occuring...their pool sustained damaged which took it out of commission utill Mid July! I have very few pool pictures this year. Ryder is a fish and is learning to swim VERY well!! Kannin still sports his life jacket...but LOVES the pool!!

This MAY have been a "Baby Tossing Contest!!"

Centennial Blog Yet To Come!!

I traveled back to Timber Lake in July to help celebrate my hometown's 100th Birthday. I took TONS of pictures and have even more stories to tell. I will be working on that blog in this next week...but have decided to post a few other, more recent blogs entries. The Centennial Blog will take quite awhile because I want to properly document it. Watch for the Timber Lake Centennial 1910-2010 ..."Coming Soon!"

My Parents: Roger & Kris

They were gracious hosts to so many over the long weekend!

Kansas City 2010

We made our annual trip to Kansas City, MO to visit Matt's brother Seth, wife Katherine and their 2 sets of twins Tristan & Sidney (6) and Izabelle & Helaina (4). We left July 1st and arrived in KC on the 2nd. We drove as far as Sioux Falls, SD the first night (11 hours). We stayed in a hotel and then went to visit Matt's grandma Mary the next morning, where she had a fabulous breakfast for us. It was GREAT to see her and catch up.
Great Grandma Mary with Kannin & Ryder

Matt with his grandma Mary

Ryder was so excited to see Grandma Mary. He talks about her often and couldn't wait to get to her house!

I honestly think we could have walked out and left them visiting. Ryder went on and on with his stories. He was in heaven finally finding someone who will listen to him talk for hours!!

FRIDAY JULY 2, 2010
WE ARRIVED!!!! 17 hours on the road...but we made it! YAY!! All the kids were so excited to see each other and to begin their 4th of July Weekend!! (L-R) Tristan, Helaina (LaLa), Sidney, Izabelle and Ryder. You can see Kanin's head in the lower right corner. He couldn't sit still for a picture after being cooped up in the vehicle for hours!! I don't blame him!!

Present Time! Aunt Beki ALWAYS shows up with presents! I brought all the kids Fourth Of July Goody Baskets and personalized patriotic shirts. Above LaLa was excited for the presents. I had also brought the little girls their birthday gifts. Helaina & Izabelle had turned 4 just a few weeks prior.
Izabelle LOVING her Birthday gift and Goody Basket!!

Picnic on the deck with all the cousins. Man there is alot of kids!!

I have left out a whole slew of pictures from our "Girl's Night Out" with all the ladies of the Kenwood CulDeSac on Friday evening shortly after we got there. Let's just say...we went to a bar...had horsedevours...DRINKS...after-party in the CulDeSac where we had wine tasting and a fashion show! You are welcome ladies for keeping those photos in the VAULT!!!

Saturday July 3, 2010

Kiddie Parade...Every year the neighborhood goes all out for their 4th of July Kiddie Parade. Kannin heading to participate in the parade.

Ryder all decked out in his 4th of July Goody Basket stuff! CUTE!!!

Let the Parade begin!!

Izabelle scooting along.

Even the Dogs were Patriotic!!

Izabelle gave Kannin a turn on her scooter.

The parade ended in Seth & Katherine's CulDeSac where everyone got a Red~White & Blue Popcycle!

The kids all cooled off after the parade in their cousin's pool.

Matt thought he would join the kids

I think he probably had more fun than the kids!!

We had a Neighborhood Pizza Party Saturday night across the street at Chris & Becky's and the above picture was a sight that disturbed us all!! Seth looked out in the street and said..."Is it alarming to anyone that MATT is the ONLY adult out in the street lighting fireworks will ALL the kids?" I believe I wrestled the fire torch away from him shortly after that!

My boys fell in love with the neighbor girls. They made him a leaf crown.

Wes & Katherine found a comfy spot in Chris & Becky's garage...

...and they were QUICKLY joined by Izabelle & Kannin!

Sunday July 4th, 2010

Matt & Seth took the older kids (Tristan, Sidney & Ryder) to Iron Man II at the movie theatre. They were gone for what seemed like forever and come to find out...they took in Toy Story 3 in 3D. Katherine & I stayed home with the little ones and they watched a movie themselves

4th of July Potluck @ the Thortons....OMG! SO MUCH FOOD!!! Mmmm!!!

We lit off fireworks for hours and just when we were ready to light the REALLY BIG ones...it started to rain. Not only did it rain...IT POURED!!!

This picture it doesn't even do it justice! You could hardly see across the street...and it lasted FOREVER!!! We decided to give up on the fireworks...put the kids to bed and play cards!!

Katherine SUCKS @ playing Bull$#!* She can not lie to save her life. She would lie...and immediately start laughing!! HILARIOUS!! Oh...Katherine! Please remember for next year...after 10 is a JACK...NOT AN ELEVEN!!!

Monday July 5, 2010

AIRZONE!!! This was SO SO SO much fun! Airzone is this HUGE place with 2 huge rooms of blowups castles/obstacle coarses. I think the adults had as much fun as the kids!!

Matt decided to try our the Obstace Coarse. He had a little bit of difficulty squeezing through the roller. Ryder tried to pull him through!

Daddy coming down the slide!

Katherine giving the Obstacle Coarse a whirl!

What a BRAVE Aunt Katherine! She came down with some of the kids in a group. I am really not sure why Kannin is not wearing pants at this point...but we DID find them!!

KANSAS CITY ZOO

We ventured to the Kansas City Zoo and it was FANTASTIC! We were surprised when we went to pay admission. We were told that because we were Memebers of the Montana Zoo (we have a year long pass)...the KCZoo is a fully recipricating Zoo and our visit that day would be free! When is ANYTHING free anymore?!?
